One to World Computing

The implementation of the One-to-World Laptop program is a further step in realising the College Vision and Purpose as stated in the Strategic Plan.

Our Vision:  Inspiring excellence.
Our Purpose:
Prince Alfred College develops young men who will engage in the world with confidence and compassion. We are a community that seeks to challenge and inspire students and maximise every boy’s potential.

The function of information and communication technology (ICT) in the curriculum is to enhance the learning outcomes of the students. There is ample evidence that ICT based activities have the potential to increase student engagement on an ongoing basis. These technologies do not replace but rather complement existing methodologies and best practice.

Through the introduction of the One-to-World Laptop Program, the learning environment will be enriched by technology. Students will undertake challenging and stimulating learning experiences supported by instant access to global information resources and powerful tools for information processing, communication and collaboration. Students will develop and demonstrate knowledge, skills, practice and attitudes necessary to be engaged and active 21st century learners and contributors.
