Music and Artistic Performance

The Music and Artistic Performance program at Princes provides marvellous experiences and cultural learning opportunities for boys.

The program is one of the finest in Australia and incorporates Band, Piano, Strings and Choir.  

All students are encouraged from a young age to learn a musical instrument taught by a highly talented and professional team of single studies teachers and tutors.

The highlight of the year is undoubtedly the tour to Mt Gambier for Generations in Jazz.  The Tour is just one part of a comprehensive calendar of performance opportunities including concerts, recitals, special events, assemblies and competition.

Another integral and much anticipated component of artistic performance at Princes is the Musical which brings many elements of the school together from Music to Drama, Technology to Design. Each year over one hundred students participate in a popular production performed for the community.

Participation in Music has indeed become one of the finest traditions at Princes allowing the boys to be creative, master new and challenging skills, enhance their personal confidence through public performance and build wonderful relationships nationally with professional performers and students alike.
