Community Service

It has been said that one truly finds oneself when involved in service to others.

We expect all students, of all ages, to participate in authentic Community Service programs that promote empathy, compassion and understanding.

As a Christian school in the Uniting Church tradition we seek to develop young men of integrity and honesty, who actively practice respect for self, others, school and community. Our students recognise their responsibility to support and befriend the vulnerable and make a genuine effort to make a difference.

Our students participate in local, national and international projects.

The Uniting Care Easter, Winter and Christmas Appeals provide the backbone of our fundraising whilst students also engage enthusiastically in a wide range of service programs throughout the year including our Outreach Camp program to assist the intellectually disabled.

Nationally we reach out to Indigenous and rural communities, as well as to the people of any area or situation that might need a helping hand.

We have developed a wonderful relationship with the Sunrise Children’s Village Orphanages in Cambodia run by Ms Geraldine Cox. Our fundraising seeks to support the children of the orphanages by providing medical and educational support. At year’s end interested senior boys head to Cambodia to provide “hands on” assistance.

Our Community Service programs allow our students to truly participate in a holistic educational experience to become well rounded young men of Christian principle.
