Health Centre

Princes is committed to providing the highest level of health care for the students.

The purpose of our fully equipped Health Centre is to provide a professional health service to the entire College community which addresses all health-related issues that might compromise  learning, individual development and personal well-being.

The highly professional Registered Nurses are specialists in Paediatric Care. They not only provide primary health care to students but also emergency care and first aid treatment.  They also provide first aid training for Staff and support all College activities, excursions, camps and tours.

The Health Centre has a consultation room, treatment room and a ward with eight beds and is open to staff and students five days a week from 8am – 4pm.

Parents of students with special health needs are encouraged to contact the Registered Nurses to discuss any concerns. A plan of action may be implemented following consultation between parents, health professionals, teaching staff and the student.

The competence and professionalism of the Health Centre staff and the consequent high standard of care ensures that all students at Princes are in safe and expert hands.

It’s that Asthma time of year

The pollen counts for this year seem to be particularly high and while the weather continues its seasonal variability – this will continue. The pollen count will peak on windy days – especially those warm, windy days.
