It was wonderful to see many familiar faces, at the Prince Alfred College Sesquicentenary Staff Celebration and Reunion, on Sunday 17 February 2019.
Past and present staff and their families came together as we hosted a special day in recognition of our staff and the vital role each person has played in shaping the future of our young men.
Attending were four of PAC’s Headmasters, including past Headmaster’s Mr Geoff Bean, Mr Brian Webber and Mr Stephen Codrington, together with our current Headmaster, Mr Bradley Fenner.
Following a welcome speech by Mr Fenner, a toast was made by past staff representative, Mr Ken Watson, with a response on behalf of the school, made by Mr Scott Parker.
Tours of the school were hosted by Mr David Cornish and Mr Peter Bubner, while music was played by The Flaming Sambucas. Guests reunited with old colleagues and met many new faces, on the Back Oval lawn and in the adjacent Dining Hall, as they enjoyed a light lunch and refreshments. Children were kept entertained with giant bubble balls, a jumpy castle, giant chess game, Bumbles the Clown and his magic show, fairy floss, ice-cream and snow cones.
Concluding the afternoon, all guests gathered on the Back Oval to form the letters PAC, which was video recorded via aerial view, to create an historical overhead recording of our past and present staff, celebrating 150 years of educating boys, which will be featured at our 150 Year Gala Dinner, to be held on 20 July 2019.
