Welcome to Winter Intercol 2026
We once again come together for the 156th Winter Intercol between our two great schools and I welcome families that are new to this wonderful festival of sport. The strong sportsmanship and camaraderie shown by our players and spectators reflects the values we share as a community. We continue to uphold and promote these values by playing and supporting the game in the right spirit, displaying dignity in both victory and defeat, and showing respect for the opposition, umpires and the game itself.
We have always maintained it is the spirit in which we take part that must remain central to this friendship andrivalry. We know how fortunate these boys are to attend our schools and live each day with the benefits of a liberal all-boys education.
I thank the Headmaster, Mr Tim Browning, and the St Peter’s College community for their hospitality– particularly we thank the grounds teams of both schools that have worked through a particularly wet and cold winter to prepare our grounds and facilities. I have every confidence that the boys from both schools will again compete with a level of effort and intensity befitting the occasion. Above all, they will demonstrate sportsmanship and humility, whilst preserving and strengthening the friendship that exists between the two schools. We wish all players, coaches and supporters from both schools well for the 2026 Winter Intercol.
