New Boarding Facility for Prince Alfred College

Construction work on a new Boarding facility on The Parade West, including an associated footbridge, is due to begin in the latter part of 2017. Boarding has been a key part of College life at Princes since we began in 1869 and continues to make a variety of contributions to its life and culture.  We currently have the largest boys’ boarding program in South Australia. This new state of the art facility reflects the College’s commitment to our boarding program, which is a vital part of our history, our identity and our future. The total cost of this facility will be in excess of $20 million, with the project being funded through a combination of accumulated reserves, borrowing and fundraising.  It is anticipated the duration of the construction process will be approximately one year and we aim to have the new facility ready for use in the first half of 2019.
