Service Learning

Service Learning

Service Learning focusses on developing compassionate, capable young men who contribute meaningfully to their community.

Our Service Learning program provides authentic opportunities for students to engage in hands on experiences that challenge them to think about real-world issues and develop empathy for others, putting our school values into action.

Activities include engaging with local organisations, caring for the environment, promoting wellbeing of others, highlighting current issues in our community, and participating in activities that give them a chance to feel what it is like to give back. Students engaging in the program learn that meaningful service is built on relationships with others and founded on working hard to be kind.
Service Learning Framework

To me, service is about helping someone in our community. It is about giving up your own time to learn about and spend time with someone other than yourself. The reason I am so passionate about service is that it has impacted my life and I want other boys to experience what I have. Service opens our eyes up to the struggles that other people face in there every day lives and reminds us to be grateful for what we have.
