Sustainability Awards for our ELC Garden

News
16 December 2020

We are thrilled that our beautiful ELC garden has received not one, but two, sustainability awards from the City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters.

The ELC Garden was awarded the Mayor’s Award for best overall garden, and a commendation in the Community category.

The judging panel commended the centre on the way ‘nature play elements, such as the mud kitchen, [were] incorporated into the garden, connecting children with nature through their play spaces’, as well as the variety of sustainability features in the garden, including large shade trees, organic veggie garden and fruit trees, worm farm and chickens, all of which contribute to our children’s learning and enjoyment of the space.

We could not be prouder of the love and care our staff and students show for our beautiful ELC garden. What a great start to our children’s learning!
