Bruce Spangler has recently retired as the Chairman of the Prince Alfred College Council, a body comprising volunteer men and women charged with overall responsibility for the school. He elected to the College Council in 1986, served as Chairman of the Building Committee, as Treasurer and as Chairman since 1999, as well as being a board member of the school Endowment Fund.
During his service Bruce Spangler has worked closely with three headmasters. This work, combined with a strong leadership team guiding the school, has resulted in the modern school we have today. Milestone projects during Bruce’s participation include the completion of the Preparatory School master plan, the redevelopment of the Secondary School, and the establishment of the Wambana campus at Point Turton.
Bruce Spangler valued the strength and support of the community in making Princes the leading school of which he was proud to be the Chairman. Bruce’s interest in the school will continue through PAOCA activities and as a Governor of the Prince Alfred College Foundation.
