John Ingamells, younger brother of Rex, was also a participant in the Jindyworobak Movement following its establishment in 1938.
In 1941, John and Rex Ingamells co-authored At a Boundary, a collection of poetic works reflecting the Jindyworobak theme of the arts in this country making greater use of the environment and Indigenous culture of Australia. This theme was closely coupled with the political aspirations of the Australia First movement, which had been founded by like minded people that year.
