Lucas attended PAC from 2004 until 2009. In his last year he was School Captain. In 2010 he commenced a double degree in Law and International Studies at Adelaide University. Lucas was selected to be part of Mike Horn’s Pangaea Expedition – a four year circumnavigation of the world aimed at enhancing a respect for the environment amongst the world’s youth. Initially chosen as one of 16 international youth representatives, Lucas participated in a two week selection camp at the Mike Horn Expedition Centre in the Swiss Alps. Based on his performance, Lucas was then chosen to join Mike Horn and seven other young leaders from around the world to join an expedition crossing the Gobi Desert in Mongolia. Lucas has since been working as a Pangaea ambassador, mobilising young people to take action on environmental issues and coordinating worldwide projects with other youth leaders.
He worked with governments and businesses, launching his own National Youth Leadership Conference held in Sydney in 2011.
