The latest edition showcases creative work from students across the College, reflecting the journal’s enduring commitment to artistic expression, storytelling and the diverse perspectives that make up the PAC community.
As highlighted in the journal’s introduction, Shades of Red continues to provide a platform for students to explore their creativity, share their experiences and contribute to a culture that values imagination and authentic self-expression.
A special acknowledgment was made to Editor-in-Chief, Taine, Year 12, and the Shades of Red committee, Tom, Harry, Christopher and Jack, whose dedication and countless hours of work brought the publication to life. Their efforts were ably supported by staff coordinators Mr Nick Iadanza and Ms Laura Kelly, whose guidance helped shape another outstanding edition of the journal.
"The symbol for this year’s journal, a pair of binoculars, was chosen to remind students of their unique perspective and creative outlook, especially in a time where individual thought is threatened by artificial intelligence. Furthermore, our slogan 'You. In Focus' reflects how the journal provides a platform for all submissions, with works spanning from our youngest members of the ELC to our graduating Year 12 students," remarked Taine.
