Master Plan Update June 2026

News
19 June 2026

As we reach the halfway point of the school year, we are delighted to share news of our new Preparatory School redevelopment, RED Centre refurbishment and update on the Multi-Purpose Sports Field.

This Term, it has been wonderful to see our staff and students settle seamlessly into the redeveloped Preparatory School. We have also been delighted to welcome so many families and guests into our new collaborative spaces, which are already proving to be vibrant hubs for learning, connection, and community events.

Multi-Purpose Sports Field Update

We are pleased to share exciting progress on Stage 3 of our Master Plan. We have now received planning consent approval from Norwood, Payneham & St Peters Council for the Multi-Purpose Sports Field precinct. This first milestone and the success of our recent Giving Day which raised $315,000, reflects the strong support of our community and our shared commitment to enhancing opportunities for our boys.

This development will further enrich our co-curricular and physical education programs, providing a high-quality, natural playing surface for our students.

The Multi-Purpose Sports Field will include:

  • A grassed sports field
  • Soccer training and match fixtures
  • Additional free play space
  • Thoughtfully designed landscaping
  • Dedicated equipment storage
  • Drop-off and pick-up zone

Beyond sport, this project will enhance the approach to the Main Building, with views of active green space, the continuation of the Pirie Street boulevard, and the College's distinctive heritage wrought-iron fencing along Flinders Street. We anticipate completion in mid-2027 subject to further approvals.

RED Centre Update

Since reopening in April, the RED Centre has quickly become a cornerstone of athletic development and wellbeing across our community. Our new Athletic Development space has been a tremendous success, with boys accessing the facility through:

  • Curriculum Physical Education and Sports Science
  • Co-curricular Athletic Development programs
  • General student access training sessions under the guidance of our Athletic Development staff

We are also pleased to see strong engagement beyond our current students, with memberships among staff and Old Scholars doubling since the opening of the upgraded facilities.

Within the RED Centre, the AXIS Modern Movement Pilates Studio is open to our entire community and the public, making it easy to bring friends along and enjoy this exceptional offering, while the PAC Links Golf Simulators are also available for bookings by all members of our College community.
