Summer Intercol 2026

Welcome to Summer Intercol 2026

Welcome to the fields and courts of Prince Alfred College. Whilst our two great schools have been competing against each other since 1871, this year we are playing for the 150th time in our Cricket Intercol which is played over four days. In the first year, we played each other twice and will therefore come together to celebrate the 150th year in 2027. I encourage you to not only watch your son or grandson’s game but to also drop in and see other boys in action and chat with spectators from both schools as we celebrate the bond between our two schools.

Mr Browning and I are proud of how our two schools and our students compete against each other, while also valuing the relationships and friendships that unite us. Together, we work to ensure our boys understand their responsibility to honour our history and the custodianship they hold of this rivalry and bond.

Next term, PAC and SPSC are co-hosting the International Boys’ Schools Coalition regional conference that will explore and examine best practice in boys’ education and provide a wonderful platform for sharing ideas.

Congratulations to the grounds team and all the coaches and officials for their hard work and dedication through the season. They have guided our boys in the ongoing development of their skills, fitness and character. Within our two schools we impress upon our boys the importance of playing these Intercols under the umbrella of sportsmanship and humility. They provide an example to the younger students within our communities. Mr Browning and I are united in continuing to ensure these standards are upheld by our students and spectators.

We look forward to seeing you around the grounds and wish all boys and coaches the best for the week ahead.
