The son of old scholar and PAC senior master W.L. Davies MC, Don as a boy recalled watching school sport with enthusiasm and pride, generating a lasting and permanent bond with the school.
A member of the PAC College Council for more than 24 years, six as Secretary, Don served as Chairman of the Building Committee, and on the Electoral Committee for 40 years. He contributed to the establishment of the PAC Foundation, the school archives and, with his architectural experience, the realization of Scotts Creek and the school sports centre. Don served as President of the PAOCA in 1963 and as Chairman of both the Old Scholars’ Football and Cricket Clubs.
Throughout Don has enjoyed life with PAC, inspired by the old words “I expect to pass through this world but once, any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now, let me not defer it, nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again”.
