Major Andrew Patten DFC, BS (USAF)

Andrew Patten went to sea on leaving school, joining the US Navy in Colombo during WWII.

Following discharge he attended Yale University for two years and joined the US Air Force Reserve. Later he held regular commissions and served in Korea and Vietnam.

In Vietnam he flew more than 75 missions over that country, being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism during a sortie in an F4 Phantom over North Vietnam.
