Basic observational drawing is a learnt skill encouraged in our Years 7 to 9 Art classes.

Looking very closely at naturally found objects is a great way for our boys to slow down and really begin to think about their world. Observational drawing can strengthen perception, develop spatial awareness and contribute to the development of fine motor skills. One of the advantages of drawing natural forms is that boys do not need to be accurate in to create effective visual statements. We feel everyone is capable of doing some good work!
