Master Plan Update January 2026

News
30 January 2026

Over the recent summer holidays, the College has been a hive of activity as a number of major building projects have progressed.

We are pleased to share with you an update on our Preparatory School redevelopment, and wider Master Plan activities.

Preparatory School Redevelopment

Work on the Preparatory School redevelopment continues to progress well as we move toward the exciting opening of the new facilities in Term 2. The site has transformed significantly during the holidays, with major landscaping works now underway. New trees have been planted along the widened Pirie St Boulevard, creating a welcoming entrance that will grow into a beautiful, shaded avenue for our boys and families.

Inside the building, fit‑outs for classrooms, breakout areas and administrative spaces are advancing rapidly. Flooring, joinery and wall finishes are being installed, bringing these highly considered learning environments to life. Recently, our Prep teaching staff have had opportunities to tour their new rooms and shared spaces. Their feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on the natural light, thoughtful layout and the sense of connection the design promotes.

We await the arrival of the final external panels and the custom College crests that will be mounted proudly on the building’s façade. These final touches will complete the striking exterior and reflect our long tradition as we look forward to a new era for our Preparatory School.

Multi-Purpose Sports Field

Early works preparation was completed over the holidays, including service disconnection approvals and salvage works where possible. Demolition of the residential buildings is scheduled to take place in mid to late February. Landscape designs are now being prepared, and design and Council approvals continue to be worked through before we see further onsite progress.

Additional Refurbishment Project – Athletic Development

Stadium 2 in the RED Centre has been transformed over the break. The Athletic Development space is now fully prepared and awaiting the delivery of our new athletic conditioning equipment and Pilates reformers. Our rowing students have already moved into the new upstairs rowing ergo and yoga room, where both the boys and coaching staff are enjoying the additional space and improved air conditioning.

We anticipate all equipment arriving by Week 7 of this term, allowing the area to be fully operational soon after. Curricular PE classes and sporting teams will commence using the space from this time. Membership details for our Old Scholars will be shared in the coming weeks as we prepare to welcome them into the upgraded facility.
