Aussie Frontline was founded by first responder Mali Briggs and former Army SAS member Dr Dan Pronk, who shared a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of those who serve on the front line. This lively podcast conversation highlights the shared values of service, leadership, and wellbeing. Mali’s message is clear: asking for help is not weakness—it shows strength. This is a vital lesson for young men who often feel pressure to “be the strong ones.”
Of meeting Mr Briggs, Angus shared “I was inspired by the work Aussie Frontline do to address mental health for first responders. Everything they do is about ‘one team, one family’ and building a sense of community and belonging. This is a value we also hold closely at PAC.”
Aussie Frontline provides resources to address the specific challenges and opportunities of frontline occupations, ensuring they are relevant, relatable, and practical. Both Mali and Dan understand the unique challenges faced by emergency services and defence personnel. They have experienced the highs and lows of these demanding roles and felt the heartbreak of losing colleagues. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to share their knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to help frontline workers—and the wider community—thrive.
Through its online presence, social media engagement, and community initiatives, Aussie Frontline promotes a culture of respect, trust, cooperation, mental health, and pride. The organisation champions the idea that asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness—and works to break down barriers that prevent frontline workers and young men in particular from seeking support.
With frontline roles often linked to high stress and mental health challenges, Aussie Frontline aims to make a real difference—helping individuals not just survive, but thrive. Programs and initiatives provided by Aussie Frontline includes facilitated events, counselling services, transition support and an online community of likeminded individuals.
By engaging with schools like Prince Alfred College, Aussie Frontline is supporting the next generation to value resilience, empathy, and teamwork.
