Afternoon with Geography

An Afternoon with Geography

Expanding Educational Horizons

Geography dares us to ask the big questions - about our planet, our future, and our place in it.

In late May, a grant from the Neil Smart Environmental Education Fund helped bring together students, parents and old scholars for An Afternoon with Geography, an inspiring showcase of ideas, innovation and impact. From electrifying a 200-acre farm in Tasmania, to waste reduction initiatives in the Boarding House, and the impact of the Preparatory School veggie garden, the event celebrated the power of Geography to shape how we think, act and lead in a rapidly changing world.

A heartfelt thank you to our guest speakers, old scholars Simon Hackett (PAC 1982), Chris Towers and Fraser Newman (PAC 2024) and current students Eddie (Year 12), Archie and Harvey (Year 5) and the Neil Smart Environmental Education Fund for helping make this event possible.
