Architect Frank 'Colin' Hassell AO. His first contribution to the Adelaide skyline was the Westpac building on the corner of North Terrace and King William Streets in 1983. This was followed by landmarks such as the former David Jones building on Rundle Mall and North Terrace, Flinders University, and the Adelaide Festival Theatre. He was involved in the design of the 1963 school Assembly Hall and our 1972 Eric Freak Memorial Chapel. Both Colin and his son David have been past presidents of the Old Scholars Association. In 1982 at the age of 71, Colin was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for services to architecture.
