David Hassell joined the Architectural profession and, like his father Colin Hassell AO, worked on later stages of projects at the Adelaide Festival Centre, Westminster School, and major projects at the Adelaide Oval. Other landmark buildings that David has been responsible for include the Adelaide Aquatic Centre, the Riverbank Promenade, Next Generation Memorial Drive, and the State Library of South Australia. For many years David has been the managing Principal of Hassell in Adelaide. The firm has 400+ staff with offices in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, South Ease Asia, and China. Both David and his father Colin have been past presidents of the Old Scholars Association and David also served for many years as secretary of the College Council.
