A prefect and member of the Ist XVIII in his final year, the 202 cm tall David Pittman made his AFL debut with the Adelaide Crows at Football Park in 1992 in a match against Melbourne. At the time of his retirement in 1999 he had played 131 games with the Crows, including the back-to-back premierships in 1997 and 1998, and kicked 38 goals. He was selected as a member of the Adelaide Football Club team of the decade 1991-2000.
Pittman went on to working as a ruck coach for Port Adelaide.
