Edward attended PAC on a full scholarship from 1997 until 2001, graduating as Co-Dux. He was then awarded a full scholarship to study Law and International Relations at Bond University. He served as Student Council President and represented Australia in the international rounds of the Jessup International Law Mooting Competition in Washington DC. After graduating with First Class Honours and as Valedictorian in 2006, Edward travelled through North America, Europe and Asia for one year. Returning to South Australia, he was appointed Associate to two South Australian Supreme Court justices. Edward relocated to Canberra in 2008 to become Associate to Justice Michael Kirby of the High Court of Australia. He was the first graduate of either PAC or Bond to serve as a High Court Associate. In 2009, Edward interned in Tanzania with the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, followed by nine months exploring Africa, the Middle East and the Balkans. On his return to Australia, Edward took up a position with Save the Children.
